So, it still hasn’t settled quite yet that we’ve been married for FIVE years. 😱 What the what?! Where did it all go? Five of some of the best years of my life, though, if I’m being honest.
Five years. Four homes. Three states. Two oceans. One dog. One baby. Zero regrets.

These past five years haven’t been perfect. But they have been ours and that is all that matters. We have grown leaps and bounds, climbed mountains, explored new places, shared millions of kisses, changed plenty of diapers, and gone through too many roller brushes on the couch (still love you, Capri).

This year The Babe wanted to surprise me. ( I LOVE surprises) So, he planned a little anniversary trip for us to head to the Bay Area, or, more specifically, San Francisco. Or, with a very heavy western accent: “San Fran.”

I was extatic as I have been wanting to go there for some time. The Babe isn’t a huge fan of city trips, so I felt all the more loved.
We got to stay in a lovely hotel with a view of the skyscrapers up high. We got to eat at a fancy Brazilian place and take a few days seeing what all the hype was about.

He indulged me and took me to China Town. I indulged him and went to the Nike store to get him some new b-ball shoes. Then we agreed to head down to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Warf. Little did I know he had another surprise for me. 👍🏻

He planned a sailing trip! We went around Alcatraz and under the GG Bridge and back. It was 90 minutes of chilly, windy, salty happiness. I was so concerned he hadn’t planned time to see the bridge and so i was obviously super happy. There may or may not have been some jumping up and down as we came upon the dock. And some Gingerale as I realized I am not like my grandfather and cannot handle the waves as well as one would hope. Just saying.

We also explored the science museum and rode around on a Surrey through Golden Gate Park. (If you need some good exercise then take one of them out and about with a twenty pound baby on your front.)

Needless to say The Babe did good. Five years and one more place to cross off my very long list of places to see.😂😬 I dare say he’s got his work cut out for him. 😋
I couldn’t imagine my life without him now. The last five years were worth every hard thing because there were so many good things. I have been so blessed to have The Babe by my side and I look forward with my hand in his. Here’s to the next five, Babe!
